Information / Schedule

Participants will be placed into groups that reflect their abilities. Auditions are not required. Placement in ensembles will be determined by the number of years the participant has played, what type of repertoire he/she is currently playing, as well as a discussion with the participant’s private teacher. Video submission is encouraged for more accurate ensemble placement.

Coaches will work on individual parts in the group virtual setting, culminating in a final virtual recording. Workshops and private lessons will round out the day.

Participants have the option to sign up for private lessons with any of our Chamberfest faculty. Lessons will be offered the week prior to ChamberFest if the participant would like help with the individual part.

Recommended Equipment:
Headphones and a USB microphone for the best sound experience are strongly recommended, but not required.
Daily coachings will take place on Zoom. While a laptop is best for this, it is possible to access with a tablet or cell phone.

Schedule:

10:00-12:00 Coaching sessions
1:00-2:00 Performance-related workshops
2:30-5:30 Private lessons

Music will be sent out in advance for participants to prepare and bring to the first day of ChamberFest. The session will culminate in a final virtual performance, open to the public, by the chamber groups on the afternoon of Friday, July 17.
