Virtual Event FAQ and Support

Season 17 Virtual Events

Concerts will be live-streamed and available on-demand throughout the season if COVID cases rise enough to warrant reduced in-person seating. All ticket holders will be notified and have the opportunity to exchange their tickets.

Virtual Event Helpful Tips and FAQs:

Check your email for the live-stream link which will be sent once with your order confirmation, and again the morning of the concert. Click the link and voila! The live concert will be on our platform and will be available to watch On-Demand for several days following the performance. Please keep in mind that this is a unique link and will work on one device at a time.

For Video on Demand, patrons will receive a link and unique access code to a recorded video of the concert. The performance may be watched at any time within the specified run dates.

Apple TV/Airplay:  Open the video on your selected Apple device (iPhone, laptop, iPad) and then click the airplay icon in the top right corner of the video to view on your Apple TV.

Smart TV: If your TV has a web browser app, log into your email account on your TV. Next, open the email containing your concert link and click the button link to watch. This should open a new window, pulling in your unique access code and the video player. The video should start automatically, if not, click play.

Amazon Fire Stick: To watch using Amazon Fire Stick, first download the free browser, Amazon Silk.

  • Download App: https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-com-Amazon-Silk-Web-Browser/dp/B01M35MQV4
  • Using Amazon Silk, log into your email and open the concert link and click the button link to watch. (You may need to click the request desktop site in the top menu to read your email.)
  • Allow the browser to leave the page.
  • This should open a new window, pulling in your unique access code and the video player. The video should start automatically, if not, click play.

Roku:  To watch on your Roku device, download the following app on your mobile device for $4.99 and follow these steps:

  • Download App: https://channelstore.roku.com/details/150902/mirror-for-roku
  • Add the Mirror for Roku channel to your Roku device and then open the channel.
  • On your mobile device, open the Mirror for Roku app and mirror your device to your Roku device.
  • Open the link from your email in your mobile browser, rotate your device and click play to watch it full screen.
  • Turn the volume off on your mobile device.

We recommend an internet speed of at least 3 Mbps. Do a quick and easy speed test! Be sure no one else in your household is using up your bandwidth while you are watching. If you are on a laptop or desktop, an ethernet cable is best for a stable connection but is not necessary. If you have strong Wifi, you should be fine. If you have a newer computer that does not have an ethernet port, you will need a dongle.

If you experience any of the following, it is due to weak internet connection and we will not be able to offer technical support:

  • video is buffering, constantly loading, choppy, or freezing

Bluetooth speakers or headphones will produce the best audio quality. If there are 2 of you or more watching from the same device you may need a headphone splitter.  If you are watching from your phone, be sure to set “do not disturb” so that you are not interrupted by unwanted text messages or calls!

And don’t forget to unmute and turn up the volume!

Each purchase will be assigned a link and unique access code included in the confirmation email and is not sharable. The unique access code is located directly below the link to watch. Please be advised; if you switch devices or log into a second device with this unique link/access code, the player will stop playing on the original device and continue in the newly logged-in device.

Great question! Our Season 15 Program Book is virtual this season and there are several ways to access it.

Live-stream: There will be a link to download (and print if you like) in the “Things to know before the concert” email sent one day before the scheduled performance.

Live-stream/Video on Demand: You can view the program in the streaming player below the screen.

Live-stream/Video on Demand: Download the program book using the “Concert Program” button in the player

Recommended browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Chromecast, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge do not work well on our platform. Updating your browser to the most current version is also recommended.

If your screen freezes or you lose video/audio, try refreshing your browser and/or checking your internet connectivity. You can click the ticket link again to rejoin the concert.

Can’t find your confirmation email? Contact us and we will resend it.

Do not pause, rewind, or fast forward the Live Stream (you can do this with Video on Demand).  Live Streams happen in real-time and you may miss the ending.

If you have any questions or issues accessing the concert, please email boxoffice@worcesterchambermusic.org. For live-streamed concerts, we will be monitoring our email during the performance. We will not be answering phone calls once the live-stream begins. If there is a technical issue on our end, we will let you know as soon as we can.
